What is Teen Line?

Being a teen can be overwhelming. From academic pressure to social challenges and mental health struggles, it’s easy to feel alone. That’s where Teen Line steps in. Teen Line is a confidential hotline where teens can talk or text with trained teen listeners who understand what they’re going through. Founded in 1980, Teen Line is dedicated to providing a safe, non-judgmental space for teens to be heard and supported.

Why Teen Line Matters

Sometimes, talking to someone your age who “gets it” makes all the difference. Teen Line offers peer-to-peer support, meaning teens who reach out are connected with other teens who have been trained to listen, support, and help.

Key Benefits of Teen Line:

  • Confidential: Your privacy is respected. You can share openly without fear of judgment.
  • Peer Support: Talk to someone who understands your experiences because they’re a teen too.
  • Accessible: Available via call, text, and email, making it easy to reach out when you need help.

What Can You Talk About?

Nothing is off-limits. Teen Line listeners are trained to handle a wide range of topics, including:

  • Anxiety and Depression
  • Bullying and Peer Pressure
  • Family Problems
  • Relationships and Friendships
  • Suicidal Thoughts
  • Substance Abuse
  • Identity and Self-Image

Whether you’re dealing with a crisis or just need someone to talk to, Teen Line is here for you.

  • Share Resources: Connecting you to further help if needed.
